Coronavirus and Tennis – Update 18 March18 March 2020
We are conscious that there is a fine line between providing information and pestering you, and so in future we will only send out messages if there is any change to the situation.
However we want to reassure you that the stance we have adopted is in line with LTA advice which has been updated this morning and is available on their web site.
All those involved in tennis in Britain, including tennis venues and coaches, are advised to follow Government advice, referring to the latest information and the guidance issued.
While the LTA has suspended its organised activity, the Government have currently indicated that recreational exercise that takes place at a safe distance from others and in safe exercise environments is something that can continue during this period.
Although the Clubhouse is now closed, cleaning of the changing room toilets and tennis pavilion will continue and hot water, soap and paper towels will be available. However be aware that the toilets will only be cleaned and sanitised at the same level as previously .
Enjoy your tennis but please, please take every precaution regarding hand washing, sanitising and keeping your distance from other members.
